A letter to those whose neurodivergence is their divine design.
Your mind has always moved in patterns others couldn’t quite follow. Where they see linear paths, you perceive constellations of connection. Where they process steadily, you either race ahead or need more time to integrate—rarely matching the expected rhythm.
This difference isn’t deficiency. It’s divine design.
I’ve sat with so many brilliant souls who believed their neurodivergence was something to overcome rather than a unique lens through which God reveals himself. Who exhausted themselves trying to conform to neurotypical expectations instead of honoring their authentic cognitive landscape.
The overwhelm you feel in certain environments isn’t evidence of brokenness. The hyperfocus that absorbs you completely isn’t lack of discipline. The emotional intensity that makes you feel everything so deeply isn’t weakness.
These are facets of your magnificently unique neural symphony.
What if your sensitivity to stimuli is actually heightened perception? What if your difficulty with certain executive functions is because your mind is busy making connections others miss? What if your social challenges reflect a depth of authenticity that refuses to engage in performative interaction?
The world needs your different thinking. Creation needs your unique seeing. Transformation happens not when you force yourself into neurotypical patterns, but when you create environments and practices that honor your mind’s natural rhythms.
Your brain isn’t a problem to fix. It’s a gift to steward.
